Remembrance Sunday, which falls on 11 November 2018, will commemorate 100 years since countless brave souls sacrificed themselves to secure our protection and freedom. On the eleventh minute of the eleventh hour of the eleventh day, the nation will come together in silence to remember the fallen who gave their lives for us.
Bridgeshire will commemorate the centenary of the 1918 Armistice and rugby players who lost their lives serving in The Great War 1914-1918 by joining Wooden Spoon Charity (Official Children's Charity of Rugby) for a very special weekend event, the Rugby Armistice Festival in Compiegne, France.
An esteemed team of veteran rugby players has been selected to represent Wooden Spoon and you can support their fund-raising efforts by making a donation to their cause, no matter how big or small.
All those taking part in the weekend have paid their own expenses and every penny raised will help make a difference to the disabled and disadvantaged children Wooden Spoon supports across the UK and Ireland.
